Vltava from Vyšší Brod
Winding from Vyšší Brod via Rožmberk and onward, the central stretch of the River Vltava is our most favoured and most visited river from the boater perspective. In Vyšší Brod, it is possible to get on board of your own or rented boat - there are a number of well-equipped facilities in Vyšší Brod and the surrounding area - and you can enjoy the river as far as České Budějovice. The river leaves Lipno Region downstream of the walls of Rožmberk Castle. With this big popularity, however, the river tends to be filled boaters over the main season so the enthusiasts of natural and boating experiences are recommended to head for the river waves rather in June or not until September, when the rush of hundreds and thousands of boats is not so large.
