Černá v Pošumaví
This municipality was named after the black heaps found below mining towers of the numerous graphite mines. The quality of the local graphite used to produce e.g. pencils, was far famed. Černá v Pošumaví lies along the broadest portion of Lake Lipno - here, the width of the reservoir is up to 10 km. The beautiful local beaches make it possible to do yachting and windsurfing on open waters; the guests can even rent sea kayaks or enjoy adrenaline-filled kiting. Noteworthy things include the fact that Dolní Vltavice - something which today is a small settlement near Černá - had even a town status lent by the Rožmberk Family in 1684, while today, it rests flooded by the reservoir of Lipno as do many other former settlements.
